Most editing tutorials make you sit through minutes of filler to find the one thing you needed. Adobe Basics was built to skip straight to it.
Behind Adobe Basics is a student, building it alongside university. Learning Premiere Pro meant long videos for short answers, so the idea was simple: make the short version. The first tutorial, How To Zoom in Premiere Pro, went up on November 23, 2022. It ran 43 seconds.
How To Motion Track Objects In Premiere Pro showed the whole trick in 47 seconds. It has since been watched more than 1.1 million times. In May, the channel passed 1,000 subscribers.
The first Short went up on January 8, 2023. By December, 357 videos had gone up that year, almost one a day, and 143 of them were Shorts. How To Animate Captions became the most-watched of all, at 1.5 million views.
For a long time, almost no one watched. Four years on, some of the first tutorials still have fewer than 350 views. It took 64 videos to reach 100 subscribers, and the comments that came in were often negative. Some were plain hate.
Making a video almost every day meant working far too much, without seeing real success. Quitting came up again and again. In 2024 the uploads slowed, and on December 27 the channel went quiet for 109 days.
On April 15, 2025 it came back. Nine days later, a Short with 15 free presets passed a million views.
