Hi, I’m Adobe Basics, the owner of this website and the YouTube channel Adobe Basics. I want to tell you a bit more about myself and my story.

I started my YouTube channel back in 2022 because I was tired of watching those super long and confusing editing tutorials that didn’t really help me. I wanted to make something different. Short, simple, and satisfying videos that anyone could follow without getting lost.

At first, it was really hard. I made so many videos but hardly anyone watched them. It felt like no one cared and it was really discouraging. I almost quit a bunch of times. But I kept going. Then one day, on May 18th, 2023, after more than six months of hard work, I hit 1,000 subscribers. I couldn’t believe it. It felt like a dream, like something that wasn’t even real.

I didn’t stop there. I kept uploading every day and tried to make my tutorials better and easier to understand. Sometimes it was frustrating because I put so much effort into a video and it didn’t do well. That really hurt. But I kept pushing and on May 27th, 2024, I reached 10,000 subscribers. That felt amazing but also strange. Sometimes I started doubting myself and wondering if I was good enough.

Along the way, some people copied my videos and got more views than me. That really messed with my head. But I didn’t give up. I kept making videos because so many of you left kind comments that kept me going. But you know how it is. Even if you get 100 nice comments, just one mean comment can ruin your whole day.

My goal has always been simple. I want to help people learn editing with short, easy, and free tutorials. I also started a Discord community called Editing Hub with over 25,000 members and an Instagram with more than 5,000 followers.

I want to show you that if you keep going, stay consistent, and believe in yourself, you can do amazing things. If I can do it, why not you?

Finally Monetized

On October 4th, 2023, my YouTube channel got monetized, and it felt completely surreal. I remember this warm feeling inside and how amazing it was to finally make money for the first time and become an official YouTube partner.

3333 Subscribers

A third of the way to the 10,000 subscribers. Additionally a 1 of 10 performing video and I earned $24 dollars so far. Still a long way to go, this image was taken the 13th October 2023 a few days after I got monetized.

The recap really puts things into perspective.

The 2023 YouTube recap really changed the way I looked at my channel. I couldn't believe I got 1 million views, not one thousand, not one hundred thousand, but a whole million. That number felt crazy to me at that time. And on top of that, getting 26,000 likes just shows all of your support.

25,000 Subscribers

A fourth of the way to 100k subscribers, I never ever thought I would get this many subscribers in my life. I thought maybe a maximum of like 4k, but 25,000? Never would I believe that if someone told me. The image was taken on the 3rd of October 2024, almost exactly a year after getting monetized.

2024 Recap

Just straight up surreal. These stats still don’t feel real. 4 million views, thats 4 million people hearing my voice and watching my videos. And on top of that, 100,000 likes is almost unbelivable. It was really challenging. I struggled a lot mentally, constantly trying to make better and more videos while also trying to keep up with my personal life.

The Present

At the time writing this, I have over 42,000 subscribers, and honestly, it still feels unreal. I can’t quite wrap my head around how many people that is. I hope my story inspires you to chase your dreams, keep working hard, and stay consistent no matter what.
