Image pasting, made simple

QuickPaste makes copy and paste in Premiere Pro work the way it works everywhere else. Copy an image, press paste, and it's in your project. QuickPaste does the importing in the background.

No saving files to your desktop, no hunting through folders, no import dialog. That is a big win when you're new to editing and every extra step slows you down.

Step 1: Install QuickPaste

After checkout your download appears on the confirmation page, and we email you the link too. Open the installer and follow the steps. It sets up the QuickPaste app and the Premiere Pro plugin for you, so there's nothing to place in folders by hand.

QuickPaste works with Premiere Pro 2021 to 2026, and if you ever get stuck, our support team replies within 24 hours.

Step 2: Copy an image from the web

Find the picture you want in your browser, right-click it and choose Copy Image. You can also copy the image's link. Either way, QuickPaste saves the image for you when you paste.

Step 3: Or copy from any other app

Screenshots, photos, images in your notes, artwork in a design tool: if it's on your clipboard, it pastes. Phone photos in HEIC and web images in WebP or AVIF are welcome too.

Step 4: Press Cmd + V in Premiere Pro

Click anywhere in Premiere Pro and press Cmd + V. You don't have to click into the QuickPaste panel first. The image is converted to a clean PNG and added to your project.

Want it on the timeline right away? Open the QuickPaste panel and switch on Paste at Playhead. From then on, every paste also lands on your timeline where the playhead sits. If you'd like a different home for pasted files, pick a bin or the project root under Paste To.

Step 5: Paste colors, gradients and text

Once images feel easy, try the rest. Copy a color code like #3747FA from a brand guide or website and paste it to get that color in your edit. HEX, RGB, HSL, CMYK, OKLCH and CSS gradients all work, which makes a solid background or a branded backdrop a one-second job.

Copy a sentence and paste it, and it becomes a title, ready to style. For styling tips, see how to add text in Premiere Pro.
