The best paste plugin for client ads in Premiere Pro 2024

The best paste plugin for Premiere Pro 2024 is QuickPaste. Copy a brand color, a logo file or a product shot, press Cmd + V (Ctrl + V on Windows), and it lands in your edit. It works in Premiere Pro 2024 (version 24) on Mac and Windows, for $24.99 one-time.

Ad work lives and dies on brand details. The client sends a style guide full of HEX codes, a logo as an Illustrator file and a folder of packshots, and every one of them has to be exact. QuickPaste turns that hand-off into copy and paste.

Made for brand work

Everything below runs through the paste shortcut you already use, from anywhere in Premiere Pro. Here is what matters most when a client is watching the details.

  • Paste a color. Copy a HEX, RGB, HSL, CMYK or OKLCH value and paste it into your edit as a color matte. The brand blue is the brand blue, with no eyedropper guesswork.
  • Paste a gradient. CSS linear and radial gradients paste too, so a gradient straight from the client's web styles becomes a background in one step.
  • Insert at the playhead. Turn on Paste at Playhead and every paste goes straight onto your timeline where you are working.
  • Adobe files as the real file. Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and MOGRT files come in as the real file, so a layered logo stays editable.
  • Choose your bin. Pasted files land in their own bin, a bin you pick, or the project root.
  • Text becomes a title. Copy a tagline or a legal line from the brief and it lands as a title, ready to style.
  • Commercial license. QuickPaste comes with a commercial license, lifetime access and free updates.

For the full tour of every format, read our QuickPaste guide.

Step 1: Copy the brand color

Open the client's style guide, brand sheet or style file and copy the color value, just as you would copy any text. A HEX code like #3747FA works, and so do RGB, HSL and OKLCH values or a CMYK value from a print guide.

You don't need to convert anything first. QuickPaste reads the value as a color the moment you paste.

Step 2: Paste it at the playhead

Switch to Premiere Pro, park the playhead where the end card or background should start, and press Cmd + V or Ctrl + V. With Paste at Playhead on, the color matte sits on your timeline at that spot and its file sits in your bin.

Need the hero gradient for the closing frame? Copy the CSS gradient and paste again. Brand colors, gradients and the packshot all line up on the timeline in the order you paste them.

Step 3: Give the brand its own bin

In the QuickPaste panel, use Paste To to pick the bin where pasted files should go, for example a bin called Brand. Every logo, color and packshot for that client then collects in one place, which makes the next revision and the next cutdown much faster.

Premiere Pro 2024 also brought project templates, so you can start a project with sequences, bins and assets already set up. A client template with a Brand bin gives QuickPaste a ready home: pick that bin in Paste To and every spot starts organized. If the logo needs to sit on screen for the whole ad, our guide to adding a watermark in Premiere Pro shows how to place it.
